Combined Churches Prayer Meeting

This is held on the last Sunday evening of every month. Local churches take their turn at hosting a time of worship and prayer for our city, country and world.

Kamo Community Kai

This is held on the third Sunday of every month. 

Come along for a two course meal in the church hall. Families welcome. 

No charge.

5.30pm start.

Church Pastor Search - Pastor Greg's Retiring!

Situation Vacant 2025

Kamo Baptist Church is looking for a pastor to replace one who is retiring. This is a sole charge position in a small to medium sized church. Hours are 4-5 days/week.

Kamo is a northern suburb of Whangarei.

Sunday attendance averages 50 adults and 10 children.

You will be responsible for preaching and teaching, leadership and vision, shepherding and pastoral care, nuturing spirituality, training and equipping. You will also be involved in ministry in the wider community.

You must be able to relate to all age groups and actively share the hope of Jesus. You will need to be a team player, and a servant leader.

The successful applicant will be a spirit filled, mature Christian who is continually growing in relationship with Jesus. You will need good management and leadership skills. You will have a valid NZ drivers licence. You will have a relevant qualification or be working towards this.

Some experience in church ministry is preferred. However, a new graduate or student will be considered.

NZ Residents preferred.

Korean School of Language and Culture

Korean School of Language and Culture in Whangarei.

Do you or your kids want to learn the Korean language? To watch Korean dramas and K-pop? Do you want to understand Korean Culture? If so, come to Kamo Baptist Church at 2 pm on Saturdays.

You will meet a bunch of Korean kids and adults having a great time learning and teaching. Also, Korean afternoon tea is available after a 45-minute lesson.
